Secret Story Network (SSN) regularly runs live real-time storytelling events in a chat app. These immersive handheld stories are role-playing games in which the audience actively participate led by a Story Conductor.
Joining an SSN story might take you on a trip to Save the World, Solve the Murder Mystery, Change History, Travel Far on a Steampunk Cruise, or Win the Cat Shaving Competition... What? - Yep. Nevermind.
Remember... nobody really knows where the story will go!

Players often feedback to us that SSN stories are not only fun, but they are an experience that helps with writing, improvisation and performance skills. (Though these are not prerequisites for playing!)
When you find your ideas and characters are all of a sudden a fast paced live storytelling event with the audience taking the story in new directions - you're running an SSN!

The sense of community SSN stories bring to the audience who are all taking part remotely, is palpable, and it's empowering.
How and why does this work so well?
